Welcoming the New Year

New year's eve was not all that fun to begin with. I was rerally sick and didn't really wanna do ANYTHING. My day was mostly spent playing Skyrim with Chris, drinking Theraflu, and eating some Chinese take-out. I had expected to do something crazy for New year's eve but that didn't turn out well. Which reminds me around this same time last year, when my mom came to visit, we were all stuck on the Grapevine in LA (major highway in California.) due to a snowstorm. The year before that was when my dad had an attack and passed away few weeks later. Yep, these past couple of "New year's eve" scenario has been pretty tough for me. Makes me wonder, what next?
Prolly the most interesting RPG I've played so far
On a lighter note, This start of the year will be busier for me. I'm taking a few classes online and also, going back to work, but only part time (3 days a week at the most). It's good to get out of the house once in a while and have some extra monies in our pocket. I do feel guilty sometimes for leaving my baby so soon. But I know that this is good for all of us. I feel like I'm too attached to the baby that it's been VERY hard not to have her by my side. I'm sure that's pretty normal for new moms. Plus, I know that Melody could use some daddy time:)It will be a great chance for them to get to know each other a lot better. My schedule has allowed us to not have to hire a nanny or ask family to watch her for us. I will probably have separation anxiety more than the baby, but this is all for the best. I really need to calm down and trust her wonderful daddy on this.
My sweet loves:)
Chris and I have our "New year's resolution" to work on too. We have decided to try to eat healthier foods and exercise as much as we can (hopefully lose weight as well). Unfortunately, due to me getting sick, that has been very difficult to work on. So, we'll have to wait and see.We also have decided to find an activity for both of us to do. I suggested we try Brazillian Jiu-jitsu. People may think that it's his idea because he's a huge UFC fanatic, but it's actually mine. There's nothing better than learning how to defend yourself, along with getting the cardio that we both desperately need. Anyways, it should be very interesting.
Can't wait to kick Chris' butt!Ha!
So there you go, just wanted to gather some of my thoughts for the new year. I'm so thankful for everything that happened in 2011. There's some bad stuff, like losing my granpa and Chris' company losing its big clients. But mostly good stuff. I just had a perfect baby, I still have a wonderful hubby that I'm crazy about and a wonderful simple life full of love and excitement. What more could a girl ask for? :)
Peace!
